Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the SICU on a per diem basis in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The PA will provide direct patient care, follow established standards, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
• DEA Certificate required.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive health services and patient education.
• Provide direct care to individuals and families per institutional goals.
• Perform diagnostic and assessment services and write appropriate orders.
• Participate in rounds with attending staff and housestaff.
• Take part in quality improvement activities and committees.
• Be on call during non-working hours to assist attendings.
