Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, seeks a Physician Assistant for the SICU to deliver high-quality critical care under physician supervision. You will perform comprehensive assessments, order and monitor therapies, and participate in rounds with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires NYS PA licensure, DEA certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Currently Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• DEA Certificate.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Practices within the scope of delineated privileges.
• Provide direct care to individuals and families consistent with the philosophy of NYU Langone Health-Brooklyn and departmental goals.
• Provide diagnostic and assessment services with history, physical examinations, and appropriate orders after consulting with a physician.
• Documentation of all patient encounters and maintain unit records.
• Participates in rounds with attending staff and housestaff and collaborates with other professionals during admissions, care, and discharge.
