Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager (NOM) to provide leadership and operational oversight for the Surgical and Medical ICU teams on a full-time basis. The NOM will drive quality of care, patient flow, and cost-effective operations in collaboration with hospital leadership.

Qualified candidates have BSN, active Alabama RN licensure, and leadership experience with preferred MSN/DNP or business-health graduate study.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN/DNP or related graduate degree preferred.
• Alabama RN license (or Nurse Licensure Compact) required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ANCC or AONL leadership certification within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the environment and makes recommendations to ensure delivery of quality service, optimal patient flow and safety, and compliance with standards.
• Plans, leads, organizes, directs, and evaluates the delivery of patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes a healthy environment prioritizing patient and team safety and high reliability of processes.
• Engages in nursing policy formulation and decision-making within the organization.
• Implements continuous improvement to meet nursing and patient care standards.
• Leads change management and helps staff understand impact and processes.
