Job summary

Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager (NOM) to provide leadership and operational oversight for inpatient direct care units, with a focus on the Oncology team. This full-time role drives quality care, patient flow, safety, and regulatory compliance in collaboration with hospital leadership.

The NOM will oversee budgeting, staffing, and performance management while advancing evidence-based nursing practices and a patient-centered care model.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a BSN required.
• MSN, DNP, or BSN with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; other certifications may be required based on assigned patient population (ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC).
• National leadership board certification through ANCC or AONL within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the environment and ensures delivery of quality service, patient flow, safety, and compliance.
• Plans, leads, and directs the delivery of patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Manages budgeting, recruitment, development, retention, supervision, and productivity of staff.
• Serves as a liaison between nursing staff and administration; supports policy formulation and change management.
• Implements evidence-based nursing practices aligned with standards and organizational goals.
• Participates in planning and implementing new technologies, procedures, and services.
