Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a safety-sensitive, full-time assembler in Rochester, MN. You will prepare systems for assembly, unpack and set up, document processes, and build subassemblies while following documented instructions.

Responsibilities include verifying paperwork, labeling items, using required tools, inspecting equipment, and entering data into PFS and Baan systems. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a 24/7 global operation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in basic SI assembly on new build lines or subassemblies.
• Good component recognition skills.
• Understanding of basic computer skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when representing the company.
• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.
• Overtime and diverse team collaboration.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment.
• Verifies kits, enters Batch lot information, packages and labels items according to instructions.
• Uses required tooling and performs assembly per routings under supervision.
• Checks equipment to ensure proper performance.
• May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies.
• Enter data into PFS and link subassemblies to final unit.
• Enter quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required.
• Ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and assist lesser qualified operators.
• Perform hand solder and inspection operations and final unit inspection.
