Hotard Shuttle seeks a dynamic Director of Operations in Sulphur, LA to lead shuttle operations with a focus on safety, service excellence, and innovation.

The role requires hands-on leadership, development of high-performing teams, and driving measurable results across multiple locations. Expect collaboration with Safety, Maintenance, and HR to ensure seamless operations and strong customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams of 10+ in operations or transportation.
• Hands-on experience with DOT compliance, safety procedures, and operational training.
• Must pass a DOT drug test and background check.
• FMCSA regulations knowledge and compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and daily oversight to managers, supervisors, drivers, and support staff.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of frontline leaders and team members.
• Drive a culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement.
• Align team efforts with company goals, ensuring execution of policies and procedures.
• Ensure schedule adherence, fleet readiness, and operational efficiency across locations.
• Implement improvements that enhance service reliability and customer experience.
• Monitor service KPIs and customer feedback to drive decisions.
• Coordinate across Operations, Safety, Maintenance, and HR.
• Assist in budget planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Analyze KPIs to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
• Uphold DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and internal safety policies.
