Job summary

Hotard Shuttle is seeking a Director of Operations to lead shuttle services across Sulphur, LA and Port Arthur, TX. You’ll oversee daily operations, drive safety, and scale services while building high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, transportation, or logistics.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams of 10+ in operations or transportation.
  • Hands-on experience with DOT compliance, safety procedures, and operational training.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic spreadsheet functionality.
  • Must pass a DOT drug test and background check.
  • No felony convictions or disqualifying offenses under FMCSA regulations.
  • No misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and development of frontline leaders and team members.

  • Uphold compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and internal safety policies.
  • Participate in audits, safety investigations, and accident reviews.
  • Partner with Safety and Maintenance leaders to build a proactive safety culture.

We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to take the reins as Director of Operations, overseeing the day-to-day performance of our shuttle operations while championing safety, service excellence, and innovation. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating high-performing teams, enhancing the customer experience, and driving measurable results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership & Team Development

Safety, Compliance & Risk Mitigation

Uphold compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and internal safety policies.

YOUR SCHEDULE:

As an exempt role, flexibility is essential. This position may require work during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Required Qualifications

  • Class B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsements
  • Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations and federal/state transportation laws
  • Experience managing operations across multiple sites or service lines
PAY & BENEFITS
  • Salary: $110,000+ (commensurate with experience) + Bonus Structure & Cell phone stipend
