Job summary

SP+ is hiring a Parking/Customer Service Attendant in Windsor Locks, CT. The role covers vehicle inspections, bus cleanliness, fueling, logging trips and helping customers while on duty. A valid state driver’s license and acceptable DMV record are required.

Expect possible 3rd shift and weekend work. Training emphasizes safety and procedures; uniform and punctuality are essential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k and PTO.

Qualifications

• Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and employees.
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate) is required.
• Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of buses, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work on time and in uniform; assist customers and direct them to the Facility Manager when needed.
• Report accidents or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate spills and debris to garage office; substitute for cashiers or valets when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of garage areas and major streets; assist with luggage and airport shuttle operations if applicable.
