Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, seeks a shuttle bus operator in Manhattan. You will ensure safe vehicle operation, perform inspections, and assist passengers, including those with mobility needs.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, staying punctual in uniform, and coordinating with the Facility Manager. The role requires a valid NY driver’s license, physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and flexibility for shift variations.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or 1 month related experience.
• License: Valid state driver’s license.
• Availability to work3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical: Ability to perform basic arithmetic using money.
• Appearance: Maintain neat, clean appearance in uniform.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain bus interiors.
• Fuel buses and log trip counts.
• Assist disabled passengers and customers with questions.
• Be at work on time in uniform.
• Direct customers to the Facility Manager when needed.
• Report accidents or hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Know all garage areas, streets, landmarks.
• Assist with luggage at airports when applicable.
• Support the Facility Manager with other duties.
