Job summary

Vital Records Control Companies (VRC) seeks a Shred Specialist to manage receiving, segregating, and loading wastepaper into shredders while performing essential warehouse support tasks at the Long Beach branch. This role collaborates with the local operations team to handle shred volumes and prepare for the next day, prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Six months of forklift driving experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of forklift operation and maintenance.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading and staging of shredded paper, media, and product from trucks.
• Operate and maintain shredding and baling machinery at the branch.
• Ensure all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required.
• Perform shredding operations in support of off-site shredding program.
• Operates forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area according to standards.
• Perform weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain security and safety in operations.
• Other duties as assigned.
