Job summary

Vital Records Control Companies (VRC) is seeking a Shred Specialist to support shredding operations at the Long Beach area location. You will unload and stage shredded materials, operate shredding and baling machinery, and ensure paper bales are prepared for shipment.

The role requires strong teamwork, safety focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high attention to detail and customer service mindset. Forklift operation is a key part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
• Strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and security in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unloading and staging of shredded paper, media, and product from VRC trucks at the branch.
• Operate and maintain shredding and baling machinery at the branch.
• Ensure all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required.
• Perform shredding operations in support of off-site shredding program.
• Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area according to VRC and NAID standards.
• Perform weekly, monthly and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain a responsible approach to all security and safety matters related to the operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
