Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply LLC. is seeking a Warehouse Associate/Furniture & Lighting Delivery Driver for our Southfork Showroom. You will transport and install furniture and lighting, uncrate items, and set up products in customers’ homes and showroom spaces.

The role requires safe driving, the ability to lift and move inventory, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. A DOT medical exam, drug test, and background check are required; CDL is not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely drive a truck or van within designated area.
• Willing to pass DOT medical exam, drug test, and background check.
• Experience with lifting and moving inventory in a warehouse/showroom.

Responsibilities

• Transport furniture/lighting to customers and unload at the home.
• Uncrate and place furniture and lighting in customers’ homes.
• Hang or move lighting fixtures in showroom and showroom areas.
• Ensure loads match shipping papers and obtain signed receipts.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and maintain accurate truck logs.
• Promote good customer relations and communicate feedback to management.

Make a difference.Overview:The location will be at our Southfork Showroom, performing Warehouse Associate/Furniture & Lighting Delivery Driver responsibilities.Transport furniture/lighting to customers; uncrating furniture and placing in customers home.Hang/move lighting in the showroom, as well as furniture.Typical Functions:Safely drive truck or van to transport materials within specified area; verify loads against shipping papers; obtain signed receipts for material delivered.Scan each delivery into system before leaving the warehouse; maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.Determine best route for effective delivery of product that will satisfy customers' expectations of a timely delivery; record delivery information; inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, and immediately report any deficiencies to ensure safe operation.Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse and showroom, as well as load and unload trucks.Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions; follow all Company safety procedures.May perform Material Handler responsibilities when not engaged in primary responsibilities.Promote and maintain good customer relations; may promote new sales as opportunities arise.Take an active role in communicating customer feedback to Company management, including customer complaints, requests, returns, performance, competitive information, and potential opportunities.Preferred Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDWork Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmCompensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on experience.Additional Information:CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam, drug test, and background check.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals occupying this position of employment.
