Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply LLC is seeking a Warehouse Associate for Somerset, KY. You will receive, store, select, pack, and distribute inventory, while maintaining a clean, safe warehouse following company procedures. You may also perform delivery duties using a light van to satisfy customer orders.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm. Candidates should be prepared to lift and move inventory and operate light warehouse equipment with attention to safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift/move inventory and operate basic warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Unload delivery vehicles and identify material accurately.
• Store product to assigned locations following procedures.
• Select and pack customer orders per guidelines; ensure accuracy.

Job description

Make a difference. Overview: Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

Typical Functions:

Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse. Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions. Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections. Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies. Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required. Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations. May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.

Compensation Details:

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information:

Steel toed boots required. CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
