Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply in Somerset, KY is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to receive, store, select, pack and distribute inventory. You will operate light warehouse equipment, keep the area clean and safe, and help unload deliveries while ensuring accuracy.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with pay starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience. Steel-toed boots required and a DOT medical exam may be required; CDL not needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment according to manufacturers' instructions.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all safety procedures and perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload delivery vehicles, identify material, break down material, and note discrepancies.
• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; light equipment may be used.
• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; meet customer standards and expectations.
• May perform Delivery Driver duties using a light van to deliver customer orders.

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

Typical Functions

• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.
• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.
• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.
• May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience.
