Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Longview, TX seeks a Display/DOT Delivery Assistant to set up showroom merchandise and assist on customer deliveries, delivering happiness with superior service. You’ll keep floors tidy, help with floor moves, light housekeeping, and support the Display Coordinator—potentially driving a Havertys delivery truck.

Schedule is typically 7:30 am–5:30 pm, Wednesday through Saturday. Paid training, Daily Pay, 401K with company match, generous benefits package, PTO, and education

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• No delivery experience required but preferred; training provided.
• Must have a current Driver’s License and have a clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout your shift.
• Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
• Must be able to pass background requirements, MVR and drug screen including THC testing.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, or delivery roles preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up showroom merchandise and repair when necessary.
• Support moving and arranging merchandise on the showroom floor.
• Provide support on deliveries to customers' homes by assisting on delivery trucks or driving a Havertys delivery truck as needed.
• Perform functions safely by unloading furniture from trucks and placing it within the customer’s home.
• Help Display Coordinator with floor moves and processing of new accessories and lighting adjustments.
• Maintain stockroom and showroom cleanliness and orderliness.
