Job summary

Ferguson in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Showroom Inside Sales Representative to handle pricing proposals, support new sales opportunities, and provide product information to outside sales reps. You will coordinate the full Order-to-Invoice cycle and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

The role requires 1–3 years in sales support or customer service, familiarity with building products, and strong organizational skills. Schedule is M-F 8am–5pm with occasional Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales support, customer service, or related role.
• Experience in a target-driven sales environment preferred.
• Familiarity with building products, home improvement, or showroom industry, including plumbing fixtures, lighting, appliances, construction, remodeling or residential homebuilding.
• Developing knowledge of sales techniques such as prospecting, negotiation, persuasion, and closing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; experience in project management is a plus
• General digital literacy including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed pricing proposals and quotations for products and services across various projects.
• Support new sales opportunities by monitoring bids, researching projects, and assisting with prospecting efforts.
• Provide product and technical information to outside sales representatives, supporting efforts to generate sales in the utility market segment.
• Develop and maintain customer documentation that outlines product information and solution details.
• Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication, timely order fulfillment, and resolution of technical or service-related issues.
• Oversee and support the full Order-to-Invoice cycle, ensuring quality standards are upheld and all corrective actions and field quality reports are managed effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance and complete other duties as assigned.
