Job summary

Ferguson is hiring Inside Sales Representatives who are hands-on and customer-focused to help customers and learn the business from the ground up. This role can be remote within the United States or hybrid in Newport News, VA, following company policy.

You'll support sales teams, provide quotes, process orders, and coordinate deliveries while building relationships with customers. The position emphasizes swift responses, strong communication, and proficiency with CRM and office software.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in plumbing, HVAC, or other trades is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with upselling ability.
• Proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs and make timely decisions.
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and follow through on commitments.
• Customer-service oriented mindset with relationship-building skills.
• General digital literacy including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to quickly learn product knowledge and processes.

Responsibilities

• Work with Sales associates to determine best products and solutions.
• Provide personalized customer service through timely quotations and accurate sales orders.
• Coordinate deliveries on behalf of customers.
• Answer general sales calls and resolve customer questions.
• Use CRM and phone systems effectively.
