Job summary

Consign Furniture is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service & Showroom Associate to join our team. This hands-on role blends customer service, sales support, clerical duties, and general showroom upkeep in a bustling Reno showroom.

The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and comfortable communicating by phone and electronically, staying productive during slower periods, and willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the showroom running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking with customers in person, over the phone, via email and text.
• Organized and able to manage several responsibilities at once.
• Self-motivated and able to find productive work during slower periods.
• Professional, dependable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions.
• Respond to customer emails and text messages professionally and promptly.
• Greet customers entering the showroom and provide friendly assistance.
• Help customers locate furniture and décor and answer questions about merchandise.
• Assist customers with purchases and process sales through our POS system.
• Explain available services, policies, delivery options, and financing options.
• Assist with scheduling deliveries, pickups, and other customer requests.
• Perform general clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
• Keep the showroom clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day.
• Straighten merchandise, replace or update price tags, and help maintain displays.
• Help identify merchandise that needs attention, cleaning, pricing updates, or repositioning.
• Assist with light cleaning and general showroom upkeep.
• Help with occasional customer load-outs when appropriate.
• Stay productive during slower periods by completing assigned showroom projects and other daily tasks.
• Work cooperatively with sales, receiving, transportation, and management.
• Perform other reasonable duties as needed to support daily store operations.
