Job summary

Disney is seeking a Show Mechanical Engineering intern to join the team that helps dream and create magical moments for guests at our Orlando, FL locations. The internship covers design, tooling, modeling, and production phases for show systems including audio-animatronics and special effects.

You'll learn mechanical design, surface modeling, and production tracking while collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring the Walt Disney Company's stories to life.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design under the direction of others.
• Use Surface Modeling techniques to design organic shells and/or skins for audio-animatronic figures.
• Work with production teams to track floor changes.
• Gain knowledge in the design of animatronic figures.
