Job summary

Walt Disney Imagineering is offering a Mechanical Design & Production Internship in Orlando, FL, January 2027 to June 2027. The role focuses on mechanical design, prototype fabrication, and hands-on production for show equipment, with opportunities to contribute to design reviews and documentation.

The internship requires a hands-on mindset, strong reading of technical drawings, and collaboration with engineering and QC to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with machining, welding, and mechanical assembly.
• Hands-on experience through industry, school, or club projects.
• Proficient in basic fabrication tools and interpreting measurement instruments.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to take on new challenges and learn from team members.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to mechanical design, design reviews, drawing/documentation, and ensuring designs meet creative standards.
• Assist with mechanical fabrication and assembly under supervision.
• Support project goals including mock-ups, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Work with Quality Control and Engineering to resolve issues.
• Suggest process improvements and show initiative.
• Foster teamwork and uphold communication and integrity standards.
