Job summary

WDI Show Mechanical Engineering Intern in Orlando, FL is part of Walt Disney Imagineering. You will assist with design, analysis, and production support for animatronic figures and show equipment across development stages, from concept to installation.

You should be enrolled in an ABET-accredited mechanical, aerospace, or engineering mechanics program, with SolidWorks experience, and willingness to work standard hours.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program (Mechanical, Aerospace or Engineering Mechanics).
• Pursuing a degree as a junior or higher.
• Willing to work standard hours in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components under guidance.
• Create models and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Perform loads, stress analysis and sizing calculations.
• Provide production support for animatronic figures and show equipment.
• Support test and commissioning of show systems.
• Generate drawings and engineering reports documenting designs.
