Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, FL invites you to join the Show Systems team as a WDI Show Mechanical Engineering Intern, Surface Development, Spring 2027. The internship is based in Orlando, FL, January 2027 to June 2027, offering exposure to design, analysis, and integration of audio-animatronic figures and show equipment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
• Experience with 3D design software and prototyping tools is required or highly preferred.
• Strong interest in surface modeling, tooling design and analysis for show systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design under supervision.
• Use surface modeling to design organic shells/skins for audio-animatronic figures.
• Collaborate with production teams to track floor changes.
• Gain knowledge in animatronic figure design and show systems lifecycle.
