Job summary

Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando, FL is seeking a Show Mechanical Engineering intern to help design and implement show systems for attractions. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to move concepts from initial design through production, installation, and commissioning of audio-animatronic figures and show equipment.

You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical design, surface modeling, 3D printing, and test/validation within a world-class entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college/university pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Applicants must be at least 18 and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Prior internship or coursework in show systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design under supervision.
• Use surface modeling to design organic shells/skins for audio-animatronic figures.
• Collaborate with production teams to track floor changes.
• Gain knowledge in animatronic figure design and integration.
