Job summary

Capital Medical Group (CMG) seeks a fellowship-trained Shoulder & Elbow Surgeon to join The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. The role includes a concurrent faculty appointment at GW SMHS, a base salary with wRVU productivity bonus and an academic stipend model, and the opportunity to teach orthopedic residents and medical students at an academic Level I Trauma Center.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and board-certified/board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency and fellowship in Shoulder & Elbow Surgery.
  • Active or eligible District of Columbia medical license and ability to obtain GW Hospital privileges.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat full spectrum of shoulder and elbow pathology.
  • Perform arthroscopic and open shoulder procedures including arthroplasty.
  • Manage elbow trauma, instability, and reconstructive procedures.
  • Provide inpatient consultation and supervise residents/students in clinic and OR.
