Job summary

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified in general surgery and surgical critical care at the time of appointment.
• Excellence in teaching evidenced by evaluations, and scholarship or works in progress; excellence in clinical care with experience, fellowships, and references.
• Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
• Employment offers contingent on a satisfactory background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma, emergency general surgery, and ICU coverage primarily at the GWU Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Provide coverage at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.
• Teach fellows, residents, and medical students; contribute to an active research program.
