Job summary

Capital Medical Group is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Spine Surgeon to join The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. This academic role includes a concurrent faculty appointment at GW SMHS with a base salary plus wRVU productivity bonus and academic stipend, plus opportunities to teach residents and medical students at a Level I trauma center.

The position offers an academic track with potential for promotion, CME support, and comprehensive CMG benefits.

Qualifications

  • D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school with completion of an Orthopedic Surgery residency and fellowship in Spine Surgery.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible by ABOS.
  • Active or eligible DC medical license.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat cervical, thoracic, and lumbar degenerative spine conditions.
  • Perform minimally invasive and open spine surgery (decompression, fusion, instrumentation).
  • Manage adult spinal deformity and complex revision cases.
  • Treat spine trauma referred through GW Hospital Level I Trauma Center; coordinate with Neurosurgery/Trauma Surgery.
