Job summary

Magnetic- is seeking an on-site technician to operate surface-enhancing machines and determine appropriate equipment per client needs. You will conduct daily media tests, prepare specimens for customers, and coordinate internal projects while communicating recovery and completion timelines to customer service. Preventive maintenance tasks are also part of the role.

Candidate should demonstrate strong attention to safety, problem solving, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must operate machines safely and maximize throughput.
• Select appropriate machines per customer requirements.
• Anticipate and mitigate production-related delays and issues.
• Conduct daily tests to determine media size and shape.
• Prepare test specimens and provide to customers as required.
• Coordinate company projects and programs supporting initiatives.
• Communicate with customer service on recovery and completion dates.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and request further service when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine to enhance surface of parts.
• Determine usage of different machines according to customer requirements.
• Anticipate and overcome production-related problems, material shortages, equipment malfunctions, and unavoidable delays where possible and plan to reduce their impact on the operation.
• Perform daily tests to determine size and shape of media.
• Run test specimens and provide them to customers as required.
• Coordinate company projects and programs designed to support different initiatives. Communicate with customer service on recovery dates and expected completion dates for processing. Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and submit maintenance requests for further maintenance work.
