Job summary

Reader Precision Solutions seeks a Secondary Operator to support our machine shop by performing precision deburring, inspection, and small-assembly tasks. You will work at the bench, inspect components, and operate laser engravers, mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes high accuracy, adherence to ISO instructions, and effective communication with the team. A strong eye for detail and reliable attendance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow department processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machined components using micrometers, calipers, profilometer, and go-no-go gauges.
• Set up machines and fixtures using hand tools.
• Position and transport workpieces; manage scrap disposal.
• Use grinders, buffs, and scrapers to remove sharp edges and burrs.
• Document job activities in the ERP system; track downtime.
