Job description

Short-Term Lecturer/Assistant Professor or Teaching Specialist, Division of Social Sciences

The University of Minnesota Morris, Division of Social Sciences may need Lecturers/Assistant Professors or Teaching Specialists to teach on a short-term and/or temporary basis during the academic year inone or more of the following areas:

• Economics
• History
• Management
• Political Science

Duties/Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate courses.Some service and research activity may be expected.

Temporary, Part-Time - 9 months and less than 50% time or less than 9 months and any % time.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree for Lecturer/Assistant Professor;
• MA/MS or BA/BS for Teaching Specialists, masters preferred.
• Candidate must have academic preparation appropriate to the specialized teaching field.
• Though clear emphasis is on successful teaching, consideration will be given to scholarly attainment or other professional recognition or distinction in the teaching field.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000 ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
