Job summary

Sun Life U.S. seeks a detail‑oriented Claims Support professional for the Group Benefits Shared Services team. This role focuses on short term disability claims setup and high‑volume production tasks, balancing priority changes and timely communication with clients and Case Managers.

You will review STD documents, set up claims, and support adjudication processes, collaborating with multiple teams while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows and MS Office apps.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Comfort with business software systems and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Review new Short Term Disability (STD) documents and set up claims.
• Manage special handling policies for claims.
• Provide support to Case Managers with adjudication tasks.
• Set up new STD claims in Ultera, CHESS and GCS systems.
• Participate in training and process improvement initiatives.
