Full-Time, Remote, 1099 Contractor – US-Based Only | Working Interview

Our high-growth DTC ecommerce brand runs on Shopify and is supported by high-performing Meta and Google ad campaigns. As we scale, our focus is on optimizing every digital touchpoint to drive conversions, elevate the customer experience, and grow customer lifetime value.

We operate in a performance-driven, test-heavy, rapid-iteration environment. This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who can fully own growth-driving site improvements across development, CRO, and SEO.

This is a working interview opportunity to ensure mutual fit before long-term engagement.

The Role

We are seeking a results-driven Shopify Growth & Website Conversion Specialist to own site performance, focusing on landing pages, funnel conversions, technical SEO, and CRO testing. You will collaborate with our strategy and marketing teams to turn high-level strategies into tested, high-converting web experiences that meet business goals and enhance our brand and user experience.

You will execute A/B testing, optimize landing pages, and improve site speed, conversion rates, and SEO performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced ecommerce environment, possesses both technical and strategic skills, and can align efforts to improve funnel performance and site health. Bonus points for experience in sports ecommerce, copywriting, or CRO, as understanding our audience's mindset is advantageous.

This is a full-time role, not entry-level or part-time. The process begins with a paid working interview (1099) to assess fit, with potential for long-term engagement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landing Page Creation & Optimization: Build, test, and optimize high-converting landing pages using tools like Replo, PageFly, or Shopify's native builder, aligning with campaign strategies and user intent. Strong copywriting skills tailored for sports and active audiences are a plus.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Lead A/B testing using heatmaps, analytics, and user behavior data to improve performance. Execute iterative improvements to grow conversion metrics.
  • Technical SEO & Site Health: Optimize Core Web Vitals, mobile speed, schema markup, metadata, internal links, and crawlability to boost organic visibility. Align SEO efforts with ad performance to enhance Google Quality Scores and organic growth.
  • Shopify Theme Customization: Update and customize Shopify themes with Liquid, HTML, and CSS to improve layout, functionality, and UX.
  • Ad & Product Feed Integration: Manage product feeds for Meta, Google Shopping, and remarketing tools, ensuring alignment with conversion goals.
  • Strategic Implementation: Translate high-level strategies into actionable site changes, prioritizing initiatives that drive growth, engagement, and brand performance.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of Shopify experience (Shopify Plus preferred).
  • Strong technical SEO skills, with proven results in Core Web Vitals, mobile speed, schema, metadata, and crawlability.
  • Expertise in CRO: A/B testing, user behavior analysis, and funnel optimization.
  • Experience with Replo, PageFly, or similar tools, and building high-converting pages.
  • Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS for theme customization.
  • Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, Hotjar/Crazy Egg.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with ownership and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Bonus: Experience in sports, performance, or active audience copywriting/optimization.
Compensation & Commitment
  • Job Type: Full-Time (1099 Contractor, US-based only)
  • Compensation: $4,500–$6,500/month, with top performers earning $7,000–$9,000/month based on skills and capabilities.
  • Flexible hours during core US business hours.
