Job summary

VulcanForms is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to provide hands-on environmental, health, and safety leadership at the Newburyport, MA site. You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and maintenance to identify hazards and reduce risk on the shop floor.

Onsite role, translate regulatory requirements into practical controls, conduct inspections, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or similar complex settings.
• Experience implementing EHS programs on the shop floor.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements.
• Experience with risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and root-cause analyses.
• Ability to train and coach staff on safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day implementation of site EHS programs and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor compliance with EHS policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Maintain EHS records and performance data.
• Support development of EHS procedures and work instructions.
• Provide EHS guidance for machine safety and chemical safety.
• Coach employees and leaders on safe work practices.
