Job summary

HireVenture is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and support safety and environmental initiatives across its Vermont facilities, with a focus on manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes strengthening safety culture, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, HR, and site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in a technical field related to EHS or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing with regulatory exposure.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT and state/federal regs.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and support to the facility and surrounding operations.
• Develop and maintain environmental, health and safety programs.
• Lead safety initiatives to promote proactive culture and continuous improvement.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientations and required trainings.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and state/federal regulations.
• Partner with staff to identify, evaluate and mitigate hazards.
• Lead investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform inspections, audits, and risk assessments of facilities.
• Recommend controls and PPE; maintain EHS documentation and reports.
• Track EHS metrics, trends, and KPIs; support audits and inspections.
