This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. An Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four (4) years of apprenticeship experience is preferred. Technician classification depends on experience, knowledge, and competence.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for handling or feeling objects. Reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, lift, crouch, or crawl as needed. Must be able to talk and hear. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.
Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise level ranges from moderate to loud.
