Job summary

IAS is seeking a Shop Technician II to build and test custom systems in a hands-on production role. You will fabricate, assemble, plumb, and test equipment using released drawings, BOMs, and work instructions, while maintaining quality and revision control on multi-component builds.

You’ll own technical tasks, support less-experienced technicians, and ensure safe, efficient manufacturing. A strong craftsman mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant manufacturing, fabrication experience.
• Experience with PVC piping and plastic materials.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and BOMs.
• Basic electrical knowledge and safe work practices.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability.
• Attention to revision control and documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete fabrication, mounting, assembly, testing, and shipping tasks.
• Interpret drawings, BOMs, cut lists, specs and instructions.
• Fabricate PVC piping and plastic components.
• Mount equipment on skids, frames, tanks, assemblies.
• Perform system testing and defect diagnosis.
• Maintain tools and work areas per 5S standards.
• Assist Production Manager with progress updates.
• Coach Shop Technician I employees.
