Job summary

Ulterra is seeking a Shop Technician I to support drill bit manufacturing in a fast-paced shop environment. You will perform sandblasting, grinding, cleaning, painting, and brazing prep under supervision, ensuring safety and quality standards.

Entry-level role with 0-2 years of experience; HS diploma or GED required. You will operate grinders, sandblasters, hoists, and related tools while maintaining a clean, safe work area and collaborating with teammates to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing or construction.
• Ability to operate shop equipment (grinders, sandblasters, hoists).
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting and grinding operations on drill bits and components.
• Wash and clean bits, cutters, and cans to prepare them for subsequent manufacturing steps.
• Paint drill bits and related components as required, adhering to quality standards.
• Prepare bits, cutters, and brazing materials for the brazing process, ensuring components meet production specifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by sweeping and removing debris.
