Job summary

Lonestar Forklift is seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Technician (Forklift Mechanic) in Odessa, Texas. You will join our Service team and handle a range of repair tasks, reporting to the Service Manager.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, hydraulics experience, and a dependable work ethic. Onsite role with occasional travel to customer sites within the region.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

The Opportunity

Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Shop Technician (Forklift Mechanic) to join our Service team in Odessa, Texas. Reporting to the Service Manager, the Shop Technician will be assigned to a variety of machinery repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
• Diagnose and complete equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
• Track parts for ongoing service jobs
• Complete work order forms
• Communicate with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
• Proactively identify maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment
• Follow established warranty processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset
• Relevant trade certification is an asset
• Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience is an asset
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region is required

The base pay range for this role is: $34.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Odessa, Texas.
