Job summary

Lonestar Forklift, Inc. in Garland, Texas is seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Technician (Forklift Mechanic) to join the team.

You will perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment, diagnose issues, track parts, and coordinate with leadership to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy equipment repair experience in a related industry; forklift experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset.
• Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and complete equipment repairs in a timely manner, offering repair options meeting customer needs.
• Track parts for ongoing service jobs.
• Complete work order forms.
• Communicate with Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs.
• Proactively identify maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment.
• Follow established warranty processes.

The Opportunity

Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically inclined Shop Technician (Forklift Mechanic) to join our team in Garland, Texas. As the Shop Technician, you will be responsible for completing a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
• Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs
• Completing work order forms
• Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
• Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment
• Following established warranty processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of heavy equipment repair experience in a related industry; forklift experience strongly preferred

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders

The base pay range for this role is: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Garland, Texas.
