Job Summary

This position is responsible for repairing construction machines, component assemblies, and parts in the shop and field. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, ordering parts, writing technical reports, warranty reporting, maintaining company assets, and effective communication with team members.

Responsibilities

1. Repair equipment and components, including developing repair plans and sequences.
2. Determine necessary parts, materials, tooling, etc.
3. Perform repairs safely and correctly, with quality assurance testing.
4. Complete reports for parts ordering, tooling, service reports, and work orders promptly and legibly.
5. Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
6. Manage parts and tools through the company's systems.
7. Maintain proper care of tools and equipment.
8. Use company vehicles and fuel cards responsibly.
9. Keep work areas and vehicles safe and clean.
10. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies.
11. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education/Experience/Skills

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology or four years of apprenticeship experience.
• Classification based on experience, knowledge, and competence.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting, standing, walking, and using hands for handling objects. Also involves reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and communication. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, weather extremes, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
