Shop Supervisor Requirements

• 3 years' experience operating and repairing tractor (class 8), and trailer (air brakes).
• A minimum of 3 years of management or supervision is preferred.
• Must have completed a high school degree or equivalent.
• Experience with TMT/Transman is a benefit.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to move equipment when needed (CDL A preferred).

Shop Supervisor Primary Job Duties And Expectations

• Manage the day-to-day shop activity.
• Ensure work schedules and workloads are assigned effectively to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Provide effective and accurate inventory management.
• Troubleshoot repairs and determine the most cost-effective solutions for repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in the operation's growth by developing safe and efficient solutions.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Train, coach, and supervise shop mechanics and parts support staff.
• Participate in hiring and disciplinary processes.
• Provide feedback on shop activity and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, including the use of safety equipment.
