Shop Supervisor Requirements

• 3 years' experience operating and repairing tractor (class 8), and trailer (air brakes).
• A minimum of 3 years of management or supervision is preferred.
• Must have completed a high school degree or equivalent.
• Experience with TMT/Transman is a benefit.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to move equipment when needed (CDL A preferred).

Shop Supervisor Primary Job Duties And Expectations

• Manage the day-to-day shop activity.
• Ensure work schedules and workloads are assigned effectively to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Provide effective and accurate inventory management.
• Troubleshoot repairs and determine the most cost-effective way to accomplish repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Assist the operation's growth and success by developing logical, safe, and efficient solutions.
• Ability to work in all types of weather.
• Responsible for training, coaching, and supervising shop mechanics and parts support.
• Participate in the hiring and discipline process.
• Provide feedback and input about shop activity and objectives.
• Responsible for compliance with all safety-related requirements (including the use of required safety equipment).
