Job summary

MetroTech | Pret A Manger in New York, NY seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead shop operations, staffing, scheduling, production, and guest service while upholding Pret’s standards of quality and safety.

You will coach on the floor during busy periods, drive performance, and develop the next generation of Pret leaders, partnering with seasoned executives to achieve ambitious goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience or equivalent leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments.
• Experience supporting operational performance and service standards in high-volume settings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• NYC Food Handlers Card.

Responsibilities

• Own Full Shop Performance: Drive growth and efficiency, analyze trends, close performance gaps.
• Build and Develop High-Performing Teams: Recruit, hire, onboard, and nurture leaders and team members.
• Deliver Exceptional Guest Experience: Model hospitality, ensure warm, fast, personal service, coach in real time.
• Operational Excellence and Compliance: Ensure recipes, safety, cleanliness, waste management, and adherence to policies.
