Job summary

Northeast Automatic Sprinkler Co., LLC in Kingston, MA is seeking a Shop Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day shop operations, materials, deliveries, and field requests in person. The role combines hands-on duties with computer-based coordination and procurement support.

As the primary backup to the Shop Manager, you will organize material needs, manage deliveries, source parts, maintain inventory, and coordinate with vendors and field teams to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating shop and material activities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in material lists and schedules.
• Proficient with computers, email, spreadsheets, and purchasing/PO systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, field staff, and management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shop and material activities with the Shop Manager.
• Organize material needs based on urgency and project needs.
• Manage deliveries, pickups, and job-site material allocation.
• Process field material requests and track orders with vendors.
• Maintain shop inventory and assist with forecasting and replenishment.
• Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with procurement, project managers, and field personnel.
• Identify issues impacting field operations and address with the Shop Manager.
