Job summary

Northeast Automatic Sprinkler Co. is seeking a Shop Operations Coordinator in Kingston, MA to support the Shop Manager with day-to-day shop and materials coordination in a fast-paced, in-person environment.

You will organize material needs, coordinate deliveries, track inventory, and serve as the main link between shop, field and vendors, ensuring timely access to the right parts and information for projects and maintenance services.

• Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and purchasing systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness when sourcing materials.

Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager with day-to-day coordination of shop and material activities.
• Organize and prioritize material needs based on urgency and project requirements.
• Monitor communications and coordinate job dates, deliveries, and pickups.
• Receive, identify, and organize incoming deliveries and ensure correct job association.
• Process material requests from field personnel and coordinate orders.
• Source specialty or hard-to-find parts with the Shop Manager.
• Follow up on outstanding orders and investigate delays.
