Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. is seeking a Shop Foreman to oversee the daily operations of the shop, focusing on safety, efficiency, and quality control. This role leads staff, coordinates with departments, and ensures work orders are executed accurately and on time.

You will train and supervise team members, monitor project progress, and implement improved processes while maintaining a safe, organized work environment with proper tooling and materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry terminology.
• Experience applying best management practices in a shop environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Lead and train shop staff; monitor progress and deadlines.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure quality standards and tool availability; maintain a clean shop area.
