Call Your Mother Deli in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Shop Leader to run shifts from open to close, coach teammates, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

You'll lead operations, maintain recipes and safety standards, manage cash, and partner with the General Manager to build a positive, high‑performing shop culture. This role requires mornings/evenings shifts and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of leadership experience in a restaurant setting (Shift Leader/Key Holder).
• Proven ability to stay calm under pressure and own busy shifts.
• Strong hospitality mindset and guest‑centered service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shop operations from open to close.
• Provide clear leadership during shifts and coach teammates.
• Create memorable guest experiences and resolve issues with care.
• Coach and develop team members using VIBE Ups and feedback.
• Ensure recipes, checklists, and food safety standards are followed.
• Proactively solve problems and make good decisions.
• Maintain cash handling and financial reporting.
• Partner with the GM to foster a positive shop culture.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop and manage supplies.
• Place vendor orders to support daily ops.
• Complete required training and escalate concerns as needed.
• Fill in leadership roles as needed on shifts.
