Job summary

Aggreko in Dallas, TX is seeking a Technician 2 for Temp Control or Power with a strong background in power generation and HVAC systems. This on-site role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and hands-on repair of critical equipment at the Dallas service center.

Candidates should have 7+ years of experience, be able to read schematics, and hold a valid driver’s license. TWIC or DOT medical clearance may be required, with overtime and weekend opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and calculate nominal/actual tonnage or kW needs.
• May require TWIC card or valid DOT medical card depending on customer requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 60–80 lbs when needed.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Dallas, TX service center and perform preventive maintenance on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and during field work.
• Operate independently or as part of a team to set up and run equipment in the shop or at customer locations.

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 2 Temp Control or Power based in Dallas, TX. Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers' worlds on. What You'll Do:

• You'll be based out of our Dallas, TX service center.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment in the shop.

You Are:

• High School diploma/GED.
• 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
• Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Other Essential Job Requirements:

• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
• Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
• Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
• Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.
