Cronin Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Production Manager to lead a high-volume service department. Ideal for a Master Technician or current Shop Foreman ready to advance, with strong diagnostic skills and a passion for developing others.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily workflow, assisting with diagnostics, mentoring technicians, and ensuring repairs meet factory standards. Join a group focused on quality, efficiency, and teamwork in Indiana.

Cronin Chevrolet is looking for an experienced Shop Foreman / Production Manager to help lead and support our service team in a high-volume service department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Master-level Technician, experienced lead technician, or current Shop Foreman who is ready to take the next step in their career. If you have strong diagnostic skills, know how to keep a shop moving efficiently, and enjoy helping other technicians develop their skills, join an established automotive group where your technical expertise and leadership can have a direct impact on shop productivity, repair quality, and technician development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily shop workflow and assist with dispatching to maximize productivity and efficiency

• Support technicians with advanced diagnostics and complex repair guidance

• Assist with troubleshooting difficult mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns

• Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to manufacturer standards

• Perform quality control checks on completed work

• Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure clear communication and timely completion of repairs

• Mentor, coach, and develop technicians to improve skill levels and overall shop performance

• Help identify training opportunities and areas for technician development

• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

• Lead by example and help establish a culture of quality, accountability, and teamwork

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Master Technician, Lead Technician, or Shop Foreman

• Previous dealership or professional automotive service experience strongly preferred

• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns

• Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop a team

• Strong understanding of shop workflow, productivity, and repair quality

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Professional attitude with a results-driven mindset

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• OEM certifications and/or ASE certifications are a plus

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet dealership employment requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 3 years of automotive service experience
