Job summary

Cronin Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Production Manager to lead our high-volume service department. This role fits a Master Technician or current Shop Foreman ready to advance, with impact on productivity, repair quality, and technician development.

You will oversee daily workflow, mentor technicians, coordinate with Service Advisors, ensure manufacturer standards, and foster a culture of quality and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years automotive service experience.
• Proven leadership of a team in a dealership or service dept.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop workflow and assist with dispatching to maximize productivity.
• Support technicians with advanced diagnostics and complex repair guidance.
• Assist with troubleshooting difficult mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to manufacturer standards.
• Perform quality control checks on completed work.
• Work closely with Service Advisors to ensure clear communication and timely completion of repairs.
• Mentor, coach, and develop technicians to improve skill levels and overall shop performance.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
