Job summary

Porter Consulting Services, Inc. in Albuquerque seeks an experienced Working Shop Foreman / Shop Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the service shop. This hands-on leader will direct workflow, mentor technicians, maintain quality standards, and drive efficiency.

You will work with the Service Manager to manage production, safety, and shop capacity, coaching staff to excel in welding, trailer repair, and diagnostics while upholding a strong culture of accountability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy-duty truck, trailer, fleet, diesel, or equipment repair.
• Experience as Foreman / Lead Technician / Shop Supervisor or similar leadership role.
• Strong trailer repair and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Welding, fabrication and trailer repair experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading semi-trailer dealership, is seeking an experienced Working Shop Foreman / Shop Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Albuquerque service shop. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can direct workflow, mentor technicians, maintain quality standards, and help the team achieve maximum efficiency.

This position works closely with the Service Manager, who oversees customer-facing and administrative operations. The Shop Foreman will focus on leading technicians, managing production, ensuring quality repairs, and creating a safe, productive work environment.

What You'll Do
